BIONEEM / BIO-2001 IN THE CONTROL OF STORED GRAIN PESTS.
Research carried out by national laboratories, like Indian Institute of Technology, proved unequivocally that BIONEEM and BIO-2001 are particularly effective in protecting stored grains against ravages by insects. Effects on stored products pests include antifeedancy, reduced oviposition, egg hatch and emergence, and direct lethality of major insect and mite pests of stored grains.
The protection by BIONEEM in stored grains lasts for a number of months, although the exact duration depends on the biologies of the pests concerned. Both with BIONEEM and BIO-2001 the seed damage is not only prevented, but unlike chemical pesticides, their beneficial effects last long. Moreover, BIONEEM and BIO-2001 do not create any micro-ecological problem nor do they leave any residue on the grains.
